Intensive Driving Coursesin North London
Auto-Drive Driving School runs intensive automatic driving courses across Camden, North and Central London, for learners who want to reach test standard in a shorter time.
About our intensive driving courses
Want to pass your test in a shorter period of time? Our intensive courses compress your learning into focused blocks of lessons over a week or two, helping you build skills quickly and prepare thoroughly for your practical test. Courses are tailored to your existing level.
Ideal for: Learners with some experience who want to fast-track to their test, or anyone with a specific test date in mind.
Driving every day, or close to it, means far less is forgotten between lessons. Skills that take weeks to settle with weekly lessons can come together in days, and the confidence you build on Monday is still there on Tuesday. It is hard work, though, and it suits learners who can clear their diary and stay focused.
Before a course starts we talk through your experience, how many hours you have already driven and when your test is, so the course is the right length for you rather than a one-size block.
What’s included
Every lesson is one to one, in the car you will learn and can take your test in.
- A course length planned around your experience and test date
- Focused blocks of lessons over a week or two
- Lessons with a Grade A DVSA-approved driving instructor
- A fully insured dual-control automatic car
- Practice on local roads, test routes and around test centres
- Manoeuvres, independent driving and show me, tell me questions
- Honest feedback on whether you are test ready
What to plan before you book
-
Pass your theory test first
You must pass the theory test before you can book a practical test, so get it done before an intensive course.
-
Think about your test date
An intensive course works best when it leads up to a practical test. Tests are booked through GOV.UK; tell us your date, or when you hope to take it, so the course fits.
-
Clear your diary
You will be driving for several hours on most days. Plan around work, study and other commitments so you can give it your full attention.
-
Be honest about your experience
Tell us how much driving you have done. A course for a near-complete beginner is very different from one for a learner who is nearly ready.
How it works
- 1
Talk it through
Call 07572 923950 or send the contact form with your experience and test date.
- 2
Plan the course
We agree how many hours you need and how to spread them over the days before your test.
- 3
Drive every day
Focused lessons build skills quickly: junctions, roundabouts, manoeuvres, independent driving and test routes.
- 4
Test day
A final lesson before your test to warm up, then you drive your test in the car you have learned in.
Good to know
-
Not for everyone
Some learners do better with steady weekly lessons. If you are very nervous or have never driven, we may suggest a few standard lessons first.
-
Rest matters
Long days at the wheel are tiring. Sleep well, eat properly and stay hydrated during the course.
-
Your test is your own booking
You book and pay for your practical test with the DVSA. Check the test centre and date before the course is planned around them.
-
Cancellation policy
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any lesson.
What learners say
-
I had an amazing experience learning to drive with [Taj's previous driving school]. My instructor, Taj, was absolutely brilliant — patient, clear in his instructions, and always encouraging. He really helped build my confidence on the road and made every lesson enjoyable and productive by structuring lessons around what I needed. Thanks to his expert guidance, I passed my driving test with only 1 minor! I can’t thank Taj enough for his support and professionalism throughout the whole process. Would definitely recommend!

Taj is brilliant. I’ve driven in the US and needed to get my license in the UK. Taj took me through all the major rule differences and got me comfortable driving in the UK. I was able to pass my test on the first try thanks to him!

Taj taught with Holborn School of Motoring before starting Auto-Drive. Reviews marked Holborn were first posted on Google for that school; words in [square brackets] are ours, and … marks words left out.

It depends on how many hours you need. Our 10 Hour Package is £380, the 20 Hour Package is £740 and the 30 Hour Package is £1080.
